Last August I went on a city break to Prague and spent a lot of my time googling "best places to go in Prague" or "things you must see" so I thought I would add my own recommendations for anyone that is looking to go or has booked to go!
For city breaks I tend to use Air bnb to find a place to stay if you don't know what Air bnb is have you been living under a rock? Well, it's an app where people advertise their homes/ holiday homes for you to rent. So, going to Prague was no exception for me. I spent time looking at reviews and places to stay and this is where I ended up! I have to say it was not in the centre of Prague but in Phara 7 which was a bit of a walk in to the centre but you could easily get a tram! Here is the link to where I stayed https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/plus/20013840?source_impression_id=p3_1582578471_2JuvV4We%2FX0vPQF9.
As I was only in Prague for four days I took it upon myself to try and see as many of the must see things whilst I was there and here is my list of those...
Prague Castle
Prague castle is one of the best things I definitely saw in Prague the architecture was just incredible!
John Lennon Wall
This is a wall in Prague that is simply just graffiti with John Lennon and Beatles inspired things. As it is done by graffiti it changes all the time!
Golden Lane
This takes it's name from the Goldsmiths that lived their in the 17th Century.
Astronomical Clock
One of the must things to do in Prague is to go and watch the astronomical clock strike an hour! It's amazing to see and always full of people waiting for it to chime.
Town Square
Whenever you're in a city you have to go to the town square.. it's a given.
Charles Bridge
Charles Bridge gives you an incredible view of the city! It's full of quirky people selling things and it's super hard to get a clear photo without someone in it and therefore this photo took a long time!
5ft Hanging Sigmund Freud
Being a Psychology graduate this was just something I had to see in Prague. It was super hard to photograph though and doesn't quite demonstrate the size of it!
Food
I'm always thinking about food and being away is simply no exception to that! I definitely ate some incredible food whilst in Prague and I have to say the service was second to none. If a waiter/waitress saw your glass was empty they were straight over to ask if you'd like another drink. It was good value for money too although, I will say the money threw me off as £25.00 was around 752.49 in chezk crown so just be mindful when you go to get your money out as you think you're spending way more when in reality you're not. So here are some food spots I found whilst I was there.
Gran Fierro
Food Lab
Now this was amazing but I genuinely cannot remember the name of the place at all!
Ice Cream Cones
Everywhere I went in Prague everyone had these amazing looking cones of ice cream! Which essentially are like pretzel cones filled with ice cream and are a must when in Prague.
Attractions
Medival Dinner
Prague has trips or things you can do such as take a boat along Charles Bridge but I opted for a medieval dining experience. That was in an underground cave, it was very game of thrones. I think it was a five course dinner but the alcohol was bottomless! Was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. Here is a link to the one I went to https://www.getyourguide.co.uk/prague-l10/prague-medieval-dinner-with-unlimited-drinks-t63958/
Madame Tussauds
Basically a smaller version of London's but an attraction to go see all the the same!
So if you're ever in Prauge I hope this helps you out!
